SCOPE’s integrated farming work supports farmers to reduce dependence on a single crop by combining horticulture, forestry, fodder, water harvesting and soil conservation within the farm system.
A diversified farm model
Farmers are organised, trained on the integrated farming concept, supported to access inputs collectively and guided during implementation. The model is designed to improve drought resilience, strengthen soil and water resources and create multiple livelihood options.
Documented reach
Historical programme records report coverage of 500 farmers in Dharwad district, with horticulture and forestry planting, fodder development, farm ponds and soil and water conservation activities implemented across participating farms.
